Lorna Doogan is one of the Experiencing Marine Reservers (EMR) Snorkel Leads for this voyage to the Kermadecs. Lorna started volunteering for EMR in 2013 through the Auckland University Underwater Club and over the past 4 years has progressed to Deputy National & Auckland Coordinator. A large part of her role within EMR is to engage schools and communities with their marine environment. This is achieved by running school programmes and free guided snorkelling days. To date Lorna has helped engage over 10,000 kiwis in the marine environment. When she isn't running snorkelling programmes her passion is practising her underwater photography and freediving. Lorna grew up exploring the Mercury Islands from their family bach in Opito Bay, Coromandel - an idyllic location that seems to grow marine scientists and conservationists.
