Timothy Logan is a Year 13 student at Darfield High School and is the only high school student to be chosen this year. He has recently returned from the 2015 European Union Contest for Young Scientists in Milan, Italy, where he presented his research investigation regarding the conservation of grassland biodiversity, he received third place at this international competition. He won the 2014 Prime Minister's Future Scientist Prize. He has been appointed as one of 15 members of the assessment panel for the Unlocking of Curious Minds Contestable Fund, a new initiative of MBIE. He attended the 2014 Sir Peter Blake Trust Youth EnviroLeaders' Forum.
