Emma Kelman has completed a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Zoology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Wildlife Management from the University of Otago. Next year she will start her Masters of Science on Kakapo acoustics, also at Otago. She has completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies from the University of Canterbury, which included work in Antarctica. She has participated in a 10-day expedition to the Bounty and Antipodes Islands, and the Chatham archipelago.
"I was thrilled to be chosen as a Blake DOC Ambassador. It offers a very unique opportunity to go to an area that I wouldn't otherwise visit and experience first-hand the conservation efforts.
