Kelly Bleakley

I have the honour of leading our mass outreach programmes - BLAKE NZ-VR and BLAKE Awards - which aim to inspire people to lead a sustainable future for New Zealand. I joined BLAKE in 2015 as the Leadership Programme Director, and have since moved into the Head of Community Engagement role where I love igniting the spark in the next generation to care for our environment. I am passionate about developing young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive.

Prior to BLAKE I was a Schools Adviser at Fonterra, rolling out their national Milk for Schools programme. I simultaneously held the volunteer role of National Commissioner for SCOUTS New Zealand, and was a member of their executive board. Before this, I was a teacher at Avondale College in Auckland, and an advertising executive at DDB, having completed a Bachelor of Communication Studies followed by a Graduate Diploma in Teaching.

In my spare time I work with young people teaching musical theatre, and love to perform on-stage as well. I'm a member of two global taskforces for World Scouting, which focus on good governance/strategic planning and growth, and also am a project support for SCOUTS New Zealand's new youth programme which launches in 2020.

If you would like to contact me directly, I'd love to hear from you. Please email me at kelly@blakenz.org.
