Serena Woodall

Serena was part of the 2019 BLAKE Inspire for Sailors programme. She has grown up on Waiheke island and has been heavily involved as a youth voice in the Waiheke Marine Project over the last two years.

She is a part of the 11th hour racing NextGen programme and initiated the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s Sustainably committee. Serena is passionate about ocean health and hopes to have a future working in the marine science industry whilst inspiring and educating youth. Currently she is completing a dive master internship at Waiheke Dive and snorkel alongside her competitive sailing and coaching. This will be her first scientific expedition and she hopes to learn as much as she can to take back into her community.
