Nora Paicu
Nora is a Community and Environment Prefect at Columba College in Dunedin for 2023. In 2022 she was selected for Blake Inspire held in Waikato, with the amazing experience and knowledge she acquired, Nora hopes to encourage more youth to love, support and conserve the native flora and fauna of New Zealand. Nora is passionate about exploring the outdoors, social justice, and sustainable agriculture along with biodiversity conservation.
Nora is currently doing her Gold Duke of Edinburgh. She has received the GirlBoss New Zealand Activator Award 2022 from the Ministry of Primary Industries for her project: propagating and growing native plants and sharing her learning with students and the larger community. Nora just returned from Powering Potential (an academic science camp) held by the Royal Society of NZ in Wellington. She is an Open Water Advanced Scuba Diver and enjoys hiking, surfing, running, reading and playing tennis. Nora is passionate about native animals and plants and would like to study and conserve them.
