Anna Clark
Anna Clark is currently studying towards a Masters in Genetics at the University of Otago.
Her research project is investigating a genetic pest control system called gene drive. This could be used to bias the sex ratio of offspring or eliminate the fertility of one sex in pest populations like rats, stoats and possums.

Anna is honoured to be given this opportunity to work alongside conservationists involved with one of the world’s pioneering species recovery programmes. She is looking forward to learning more about the history and the challenges that are being faced, as well as gaining a new perspective on how that looks moving forward towards Predator Free 2050.
When time and the student budget permits, Anna can be found diving in our precious marine environments, running around our Southern Alps playground and getting an adrenaline buzz from white-water kayaking!
